The Palm Springs Air Museum Pipe Band (PSAMPB) is a non-for-profit organization that performs traditional Celtic music for the love of performing the Highland Pipes. It is manned exclusively by volunteers from all walks of life; as such there is no formal paid organization staff designated to execute the everyday staff functions needed to keep an organization vibrant and strong. Our members often take time away from work or arrange their schedules to be able to provide support to various events or functions. As such we are not salaried but appreciate donations to the PSAMPB. All proceeds go to supply the Bandsmen with the accoutrements and instruments for the betterment of the band. The services we provide are listed below.

ABOUT OUR SERVICES

Hire Piper(s)

Piper

Are you having an event that a piper could add flare & prestige to?  Hire a piper for that special event. Weddings, Funerals and other Commemorative Events can always use a Piper. Contributions of $200.00 are the norm but can be negotiated.

Mini Bands

Is your event that more special that a lone piper simply won't do. Then maybe the Mini Band, 5 Bandsmen comprising of Pipers and Drummers is more in order. Contributions of $500 to $600 are usually requested but again this can be negotiated.

Full Band

Even the Band can be hired if you want the full effects of the Highland Pipes & Drum. Contributions to be negotiated.

Customize to Your Needs

We can on occasion mix & match our contribution to really make an event stand out. See the video on the left where the PSAMPB, the NICHOLSON PB and the MARINE Corps Band from 29 Desert Palm came together for a Robbies Burns Dinner in 2011. Contribution to be negotiated and regrettably  we can't promise any Marines Bandsmen will attend.

Teaching Aspiring Pipers & Drummers

Are you Interested in learning the Pipes or Drums?

We offer "No Charge" lessons for both pipes and drums on Saturday mornings at 9 AM at the Palm Springs Fire Hall and again at 4pm on Saturday nights at the College of the Desert Alumni Building.

Although the "No Charge" lessons are always available, private or additional lessons at a nominal fee can be arranged. This should be considered if you want to master the pipes at a faster rate.

These "No Charge" Lessons will eventually give you the opportunity to take your skills to the next level which would be to play your instrument at a proficient level and become a valuable member of the PSAMPD Band. Once a playing member of the Band, you would then have the opportunity to be part of the 20 or so performances that the Band does each and every year.
